Why can’t Mint do my taxes?

I have all of the financial data I generate throughout the year dump into Mint. Why can’t Mint do my taxes?

Plus, they’re owned by Intuit, which has TurboTax. I’d
imagine that merging the two services is extremely painful — which
answers, “Why can’t Mint do my taxes now?” —
but will happen before the next tax season. (It fits the TurboTax
model of customer acquisition, which is upselling users who trapped
their data in the system on the promise of a free product.) In the
meantime, I agree that Mint could do a much better job with summary
data that would be useful in preparing my taxes.
